The deepin Community is an open source community composed of developers, designers, advocates, and users of the deepin Operating System. The deep Community adopts the concept of "Openness, Transparency, Innovation, and Co-Create" as the guideline for community work and communication. Whether you want to implement new features, contribute simple patches, or even modify typos in documents, we welcome you to join and contribute your own strength to the deepin Community!
In the deepin Community, you can:
- Contribute code, join the SIG to directly participate in the development and testing of the deepin Community;
- Participate in testing, provide feedback on product issues and suggestions for the deepin Community；
- Writing Documents, provide reliable development articles and usage guidelines for users of the deepin Community；
- Participate in activities, organize and participate in activities in the deepin Community, Share your experience；
- PROMOTION, write tweets and edit videos, recommend people around to join the deepin Community；
- Help users，solve problems for users in the deepin Community within your capabilities；
The R&D workflow related to deepin is located on GitHub, so the code contribution process is not much different from the regular Fork + Pull Request process on GitHub.
Currently, there are three main document platforms in the deep community：
- Wiki: All Documents related to deepin, including but not limited to entry explanations, operation instructions, development documents, and other types of document content that lean towards graphic descriptions, etc；wiki贡献说明
- Blog：This collection mainly includes and publishes some technical blog posts and insights with deep content；如何写博客
- Developer Platform：Empower developers to build the operating system ecosystem, including but not limited to DTK documentation, Qt documentation, Linglong documentation, etc；
Even if you are not skilled in R&D work or have no interest in document building, as long as you are using products from the deepin Community, you can participate in testing and contribution. Currently, there are several ways to participate in testing and contribution：
- Join the official testing group and directly provide feedback and suggestions through the group；

- Join the deepin BBS and directly post questions and suggestions within the BBS；
- Feedback issues and suggestions through the Deepin Home app；
Currently, the most important activity in the deepin Community is the annual DDUC（Deepin Developer&User Conference）.
